I'll dominate 'legitimate fighter' Paul - Anthony Joshua

Anthony Joshua and Jake Paul face-off

Anthony Joshua prepares to battle Jake Paul in an eight-round fight which will be shown live on Netflix.

British boxer Joshua stated he will "stamp all over" Jake Paul and "overpower" his opponent as the two fighters met personally to publicize the upcoming bout.

Ex two time world boxing king Anthony Joshua meets YouTuber-turned-boxer Jake Paul - in what is, theoretically, a huge mismatch - at Miami arena on December 19th.

Boxer's Mentality

"I will injure his face and damage his physique. I'm here to prove I'm the better fighter," Joshua, 35 years old, said.

"I plan to overwhelm him. That's how fighters think.

"I'm going to really want to injure him. That's my goal."

Civil Interaction

In spite of those words, a composed Joshua and internet personality Jake Paul - usually recognized for his theatrics - were respectful and maintained decorum with each other.

Jake Paul instead targeted ex Joshua's rival the Cameroonian fighter and labeled him "not serious" after Ngannou turned down a fight offer.

Targeting Fury

Joshua, at the same time, targeted British rival Tyson Fury - and declined a £1m bet 'The Gypsy King' claims he will make on a victory for Paul.

"[Paul] outshines Fury - he's actually sitting here," Joshua stated.

"I respect him for that."

Legitimate Opponent

Despite stating he plans to punish Paul, Joshua refused to comment unfavorably about his rival's boxing ability.

"Jake is a serious fighter," he stated.

Jake Paul's History

Paul - who initially became famous on the television network - has primarily boxed mixed martial artists or declining opponents since becoming pro.

He lost to Briton Fury in 2023.

Financial Attraction

However, the novice continues to be one of the sport's greatest money-making draws, consistently making massive paydays.

Prediction and Belief

The 28-year-old forecast a knockout win in the fourth or fifth round and claimed he would prevent the highly-expected Joshua–Fury fight, which is apparently under discussion for 2026.

"It's going to be me versus Tyson Fury in the coming year," Jake Paul said.

Physical Difference

As the two fighters engaged in the customary confrontation, with their size difference on show, it drove home just how unlikely this complete situation is - and how remarkable it is that the bout is truly going ahead.
